Privacy policy

Draft pending legal review.
This policy explains what information RampRent handles and why.
What we collect
- Airport managers: name, email address and the airport's details.
- Tenants and pilots: name, email, phone number, aircraft N-numbers, leases, charges, payment status, insurance certificates and waitlist entries, entered by the airport or by the tenant.
- Payments: card and bank details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by RampRent. We receive payment status and the last digits Stripe shares.
- Signatures: when a tenant signs a lease online, we record the typed name, time, email address, IP address and browser.
How we use it
Only to run the service for the airport: sending invoices, receipts, late notices, insurance and lease reminders and waitlist offers; processing payments; and keeping the airport's records. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
Managers of the airport a tenant rents from. Tenants see only their own records. Service providers that help run RampRent (Supabase for hosting the database, Stripe for payments, and our email and text message providers) process data on our behalf.
Aircraft registry data
RampRent uses the FAA's public aircraft registry to fill in aircraft make and model from an N-number.
Retention
Airport records, including the activity log, are kept while the airport uses RampRent and as long as needed for the airport's financial and legal record keeping. Contact the airport, or us, to ask about deleting information.
